Venet.net
provides the user with the ultimate navigational tool for Venice.
The
hardware
consists of a 3.5'' touch-screen PDA and additional GPS antenna.
The
software
consists of an electronic navigational map with
GPS
and
GSM
technology.
At any moment the users can find the location of their
hotel
(

) and of their
position
(
) by pressing the
FIND ME
button.
Additionally, the map highlights all must-see
sites
(
) . When clicked, an image and a description are shown.
The map can be moved around by pressing the screen, or the
ZOOM IN
and
ZOOM OUT
.
Finally, a complete guide is available by pressing
GO TO

are available for browsing.
Each page shows 16 sites that can be navigated with the
<PREV
and
NEXT>
buttons.
The
MAP
button lets the user retun to the main map page.
In addition to a map and a guide this software also includes a word translator (
WORDS
) which makes it the ultimate tourist companion.
Detailed information on each sight can be visualized by pressing the
thumbnail image
(see below...)

The user can scroll down the information page with the navigation button.
A quality image of the sight is shown, helping recognize the spot.
From here the user can either return to the main sight page
(SIGHT
button) or find in the map this specific location (

).
